Critter Cam No. 9 - Our Surviving Cockatiel...

This is Daggie, our surviving cockatiel, and widow to Norby who passed away overnight a couple of days ago. She seems to be a bit sad now that he has gone.

Critter Cam No. 5 - Don't stand still too long!

Bull Ant
These guys are around an inch long, and their bite is very painful. So you don't want to stand still for too long on their nest!

Critter Cam No. 4 - Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo...

Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoo
I love the calls these guys make. Not screechy like the white cockies. This photo taken near the Clark Dam, Central Tasmania.

Critter Cam No. 3 - Heavy Lifter...

When one of these flies lands in your hair, you feel it. If a gang of them do so, they will lift you up and carry you off! Such is the Western Tasmanian bush fly!

Critter Cam No. 2 - Ostrich?

Tasmanian Native Hen
...no. It doesn't really have it's head in the sand.

It's a Tasmanian Native Hen. Flightless, and with a call that you either love or hate. Two birds together make a sound like a donkey braying. Eee-Aww...

Cute though, and they have the most intense red eyes.

Critter Cam No. 1 - Ol' Blue Eyes...

The first in my new home for Critter Cam photos...

This little jumping spider was interested in what I was doing this morning (setting up my computer ready for work). I took a few shots and then realised that he/she has beautiful blue eyes!
